Hi Deb,
I'll start with this response, then elaborate more fully, Social Media is NOT a Billboard for free Advertising.  It is a place to Interact with, in our case, Readers and Authors.

How would you like it if each of those people you follow constantly posted BUY MY BOOK, BUY MY BOOK, BUY MY BOOK.  I'm almost certain you would unfollow those people real fast!

That being said, there are certain people, places, or pages you may want to follow, who purposely post only Books for Sale, but this is what you expect if you follow them.

There are also hundreds of pages on Farcebook where you are allowed to post your books for sale, in fact they encourage it.

I think everyone who follows you, and knows you are an author, expects to see an occasional post about your book or books, but it should be done discretely and rarely.  No more than perhaps once a month if posted directly by you.
However, if someone else makes a post about your book, then share that post PUBLIC.
The same holds true for questions about your book, go ahead and respond PUBLIC.
EXCEPT one should ignore making comments to a review about your book, good, bad, or otherwise.  You can thank the poster of a good review privately.

One thing I do on Twitter when I accept a friend request is place the new follower in a daily read list to see what their tweeting habits are.  From this list they will get moved to another list, possibly one I don't read at all.
They are rated by what they are tweeting.
Io five personal tweets and only three advertising type tweets, without interactive or author oriented tweets in between.  An interactive or author related tweet will remove one the mark for a personal tweet or an advertising tweet.  This is to allow an occasional ad for their book.  But the key here is tweeting something of value to a reader or author.  I am lenient for those who are most interactive, so they can get by with more ad tweets than some others.

Build loyalty and trust with your followers and they will seek out your books, even if you don't mention them on social media very often.

Hi Deb

Your books would go on Your Page first, which I see you have done already.
The website owner is opening up other websites for genre specific books, but I don't know what they all are myself.  She will be glad to lend you a hand to get your book in the proper locations.

Have a great day!
