A Cafe For Authors and Avid Readers
I am a Vermonter, though I lived fifteen years on Cape Cod, and came to Arizona over twenty years ago. I have changed careers from teacher and coach to working twenty-five years with the US Postal Service.
I participated in numerous school productions and in community theater, on and back-stage, during my college and teaching years. I was a high school drama director. My first major writing project was adapting a Russian folktale, The Nosebag, which I produced and directed.
Though I read in many genres, my favorite is mystery. Perhaps from my theater experiences the books I enjoy and appreciate the most have a lot of interesting dialogue. That said, my writer idol is Kurt Vonnegut.
Retirement gave me more time to read and more than enough to play all the golf I could handle. I began a story about my fake town with no thought of ever publishing it, but I later heard about and figured out the self-publishing thing. Here I am.

The story is told with much dry humor, by a retired mailman, Bruce DelReno, who spends a lot of time at the golf course. His dog happens to find a body nearby, which leads to his involvement in that and others murders. Bruce becomes obsessed with finding the killers, since his Indian friend seems somehow to be involved.
