The Key: A Crusader's Story by Sean MacCotter

In 1181, Ralph de Mortimer left his home to become a Templar knight. MacCotter’s epic tale takes the young knight crusading, riding with kings, sharing forbidden love and protecting the secret of The Key to an ancient king’s treasure. His characters come alive in the sands of the desert and the castles of Europe, Sicily and the Crusader States.

The Key blends the history of the Crusades with the search for a Biblical king's buried treasure. His characters ride side by side with king's and Grand Masters, and they live and fight in the great battles of the age. MacCotter's epic either happened as he writes it, or was possible.

Genre: Historical Fiction, Action & Adventure

The Babylon Hoard: Book 3 of The Key Trilogy (A Jack Riley Mystery 1) by Sean MacCotter

World War One is over and Jack Riley comes home where The Key awaits him. Searching for the answer to the thousand-year mystery of The Key takes him half way around the world. Is the Babylon Hoard real or a fanciful myth handed down from the Crusades? If it ever existed has it survived more than fifteen centuries of treasure hunters and looters? Will he survive long enough to solve the puzzle that cost the lives of the others who came before him?

MacCotter's The Babylon Hoard is a thriller that keeps readers on the edge of their seat from the first page.

The Gentleman Adventurer (The Key Trilogy Book 2) by Sean MacCotter

In 1581 the old Templar chapel at Shalford gave up its secret to the hidden Key. Eighty years later the relic made its way from England to the new Province of Maryland in the belongings of the Gentleman Adventurer, George Yate. Before he even set foot on his new lands his companions began dying. Were they victims of the rebels attacking the government George served? Common thieves and villains? Or were they assassins sent by powerful forces willing to kill to regain control of The Key?

The Gentleman Adventurer is a historical thriller, a mystery, and the true love story of two of America's early Colonists.
